Wrapping Up our March the Month Challenge

Wrapping up our march the month challenge

As March comes to a close, we’re wrapping up our March the Month challenge and are incredibly proud to share that Braeburn Care has smashed our fundraising target, raising an amazing £620 in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

Throughout the month, our team took part in a March the Month challenge, aiming to walk 11,000 steps every day to raise awareness and vital funds for a cause close to all our hearts. That number represents the 11,000 men who lose their lives to prostate cancer each year in the UK – a powerful reminder of why this challenge matters.

Walking with Purpose

Our Care Professionals and office team embraced the challenge with energy, determination, and a real sense of purpose. From early morning walks, choosing the stairs over lifts, to walking to and between customer visits, we made a conscious effort to move more every single day, right across Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Crowborough and surrounding areas.

In total, our team walked an incredible 2,327,775 steps over the course of the month.

We were amazed at how challenging it could be to fit in those extra steps while juggling the demands of daily life and our care responsibilities. But with the support of one another, our families, and our wonderful customers, we stayed motivated and kept going, and loved every minute of it.

Why We Stepped Up

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. The work of Prostate Cancer UK plays a vital role in raising awareness, funding groundbreaking research, and supporting men and families impacted by this disease.

At Braeburn Care, we’re not only passionate about providing exceptional home care services, we’re also committed to playing an active role in the community and contributing to causes that matter.

Thank You

To everyone who donated, supported, encouraged, or joined us in spirit, as we are wrapping up our March the Month challenge, we’d like to say, thank you. This was a team effort from start to finish, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Together, we’ve raised awareness, made memories, and supported a cause that touches so many. Here’s to continuing to walk with purpose, in care and in community.
