Developing Care at Home Careers from Onboarding and Beyond

Care at home careers with Braeburn Care

At Braeburn Care, we believe that a strong start sets the tone for a fulfilling and productive care at home career. Our commitment to thorough onboarding and training extends beyond our care professionals to include all members of our team, ensuring that everyone is well-prepared to meet the high standards we set for ourselves.

Recently, we had the pleasure of re-welcoming Micheala Luxford to our team and are delighted to share insights and experiences from her onboarding journey with us. This reflection not only highlights the importance we place on comprehensive training but also underscores our dedication to fostering a supportive and empowering work environment for all staff.

Here are some of the questions we asked Micheala

  • How would you describe your initial experience with our onboarding process? Were your first days at Braeburn Care welcoming and informative?

“I felt immediately welcomed and at home upon returning to Braeburn Care, a company and job I love. I received all the necessary information to begin my journey and am eager to continue learning and developing my skills.”

  • Did you find the information provided during your onboarding process clear and easy to understand? Were there any areas that were confusing or needed more explanation?

“I found all the information clear, informative, and easy to understand. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily the information came back to me. The notebook with notes compiled by Katy was particularly helpful, and I frequently refer to it. I appreciated the hands-on learning approach, as it aligns with my preferred learning style.”

  • How well were you supported during your onboarding? Did you have access to all the necessary resources and personnel to help you get started effectively?

“I felt very supported and had everything I needed from day one. I frequently say that Braeburn Care is different from other companies because of its strong support and care for the team.”

  • How would you rate the training you received during your onboarding? Did it adequately prepare you for your role, and were there any additional training topics you felt were needed?

“I felt I had a great onboarding which was adapted to my learning style which has helped me and grown my confidence.”

  • On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with your overall onboarding experience at Braeburn Care? What improvements, if any, would you suggest to enhance the process for future new joiners?

“10/10 – I cannot think of any improvements”

  • Based on your experience, would you recommend Braeburn Care as a place to work?

“I would recommend Braeburn Care to others and have done since re-joining the company”
