Braeburn Proudly Sponsors Angels Bowls Tournament

At Braeburn Care, we believe that great care starts with connection, not just between carer and customer, but with the wider community we serve. This week, we were incredibly proud to sponsor the Angels Bowls Club Tournament, right in the heart of our local area.

More than just a sporting event, this tournament was a celebration of community, wellbeing, and staying active in later life – values that align perfectly with our own. It was a fantastic opportunity to support a local club that means so much to its members, while also raising awareness of the services Braeburn Care provides to adults and families across West Kent and East Sussex.

A Local Partnership with Purpose

Angels Bowls Club is a true community hub – a place where friendship, competition, and belonging come together. For many of its members, it’s not just about the game; it’s about the social connection and routine that keeps them feeling independent, engaged, and well.

As a family-owned home care provider, supporting initiatives like this sits right at the heart of what we do. We understand the importance of social interaction and meaningful activities in maintaining good physical and mental health – especially for those who live alone or are at risk of isolation.

That’s why sponsoring the tournament wasn’t just about getting our name out there – it was about showing up, having conversations, and becoming part of the community we’re here to serve.

Braeburn Care at the Club

Throughout the tournament, our branding was proudly displayed across the venue – from scoreboards and scorecards to TVs and our very own Braeburn Care stand. But more importantly, we were present in person, speaking directly with members, supporters, and visitors.

A huge thank you to our brilliant management team, Katy and Michaela, who represented Braeburn Care so professionally and passionately throughout the event. They spent the day chatting with members, answering questions about our services, and sharing how we support individuals to remain independent at home – whether through personal care, companionship, help with meals, or live-in support.

Their presence wasn’t just appreciated – it was meaningful. Many attendees shared stories of family members currently receiving care or in need of it, and Katy and Michaela offered helpful, compassionate guidance on how Braeburn could help.

Why Community Matters to Us

As a home care provider, we know that good care extends beyond the front door. It’s about supporting people to remain connected to the things they enjoy and the communities they’ve always been part of.

Events like the Angels Bowls Tournament remind us just how important that sense of belonging is and how home care can play a key role in preserving it. Whether it’s helping someone get ready to attend a club meeting, offering companionship on a quiet day, or supporting someone with the confidence to stay active, our work goes hand-in-hand with community life.

We’re committed to continuing our presence at events like this, not just as a sponsor, but as an active, approachable and caring member of the local landscape.

Raising Awareness of Local Care Options

One of the most common things we hear from families is:

“We didn’t know where to start.”

That’s why we’re passionate about being visible and accessible in the community – so that when families do need care, they know who to turn to.

By attending local events, speaking with local residents, and building relationships with clubs and groups, we’re helping to break down the barriers to accessing care and providing trusted information when it’s needed most.

If someone you love could benefit from extra support – whether that’s help with getting dressed, preparing meals, companionship visits, or full-time live-in care – we’re just a conversation away.

More Than a Sponsor – A True Supporter

We’re proud of our presence throughout the tournament – not just through logos and banners, but through meaningful face-to-face interactions. The Angels Bowls Club is a pillar of our community, and it was a privilege to be part of something that brings so many people together.

From start to finish, the event captured everything we stand for:

  • Companionship and connection
  • Local pride and independence
  • Staying active, involved, and engaged at every age

We’re grateful to the organisers, players and members who welcomed us so warmly and we look forward to returning, supporting, and cheering from the sidelines again soon.
