At Braeburn Care, we are committed to providing the best possible start for our new team members. Our induction training is designed to equip our staff with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to excel in their roles. To ensure we continuously improve our onboarding process, we recently sought feedback from one of our new joiners, Tracy, by asking her a series of questions about her experience.
Here are some of the questions we asked Tracy
- As a recent new joiner to Braeburn Care, although with experience in the Care Sector, what were your expectations going into our Induction Training?
“To go through procedures and company policies. Also to go through job expectations and basic training in areas required i.e. the do’s and don’t’s etc.”
- What differentiates the Braeburn Care Induction from any Inductions you have had with previous employers?
“It felt relaxed and an open environment where we felt comfortable to ask questions and discuss things we were not sure on, enabling us to grow in confidence throughout.”
- Did you enjoy that the Induction was delivered through a number of different mediums?
“I did like that the induction was delivered in a way that you could ask questions and work as team to answer some of the questions when more than one answer could be right, as it gave us the opportunity to consider things we may not have thought of.”
- How confident do you now feel in applying your knowledge into your day-to-day role as a Care Professional within our Team?
“I feel very confident that I can deliver what is needed of me. And it’s reassuring that I know that no question is a silly question and I have the office staff to call if I’m not sure at any stage.”
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with your overall Induction Training experience at Braeburn Care? What improvements, if any, would you suggest to enhance this area for future new joiners?
“10!”
- Based on your experience, would you recommend Braeburn Care as a place to work?
“I would recommend Braeburn Care as a place to work, office staff are approachable and there’s a real family feel to the team.”
Valuable Insights
The feedback we receive is incredibly valuable. We see feedback to highlight the strengths of our current induction process but also shed light on areas where we can make improvements. By listening to our team members, we aim to ensure that every new joiner feels welcomed, supported, and well-prepared to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care. Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every team member can thrive and deliver the highest quality care to our customers.
