Kaz’s Personal Experience

One of our team members, Kaz, joined us in July 2024 and shares her personal experience of how working weekends with Braeburn Care has not only been a fulfilling job but a joyful and rewarding experience.
Kaz’s journey into Braeburn Care started when she decided to leave her previous role in a care home. “I worked weekends in a care home since July 2023 but felt unsupported, and it wasn’t the right place for me. When I saw the job advert for Braeburn Care, I read their story and thought this was a company I would be proud to work for, so I applied and got an interview with Katy and Michaela.”
From the moment she joined, Kaz felt an instant connection with our team. “During my interview with Katy and Michaela, I immediately felt at ease. They were both so proud of Braeburn Care, and their excitement was contagious. I knew straight away that I would really enjoy working here.”
Kaz works full-time as an Operations Assistant in a different sector during the week, but she has found immense fulfilment in her weekend role as a Care Professional. “Despite my full-time job being demanding, I look forward to working at Braeburn Care on the weekends. I get so much out of it; it doesn’t feel like a job at all. I have wonderful customers, and it feels like visiting friends. We laugh, share stories, and time just flies by.”
Kaz’s role includes care, support and helping with housework. “The hours work perfectly for me and offer flexibility. I work in the mornings and finish in the early afternoon, which gives me plenty of downtime to do my own housework. I prefer mornings, but there are options for afternoons and evenings, too.”
What makes Kaz’s experience even more rewarding is the support she feels from the management team. “I feel fully supported by Katy and Michaela. They make sure we’re always updated and included. The communication is the best I’ve experienced. We get emails with updates on customers and any changes, and I know that if I need help, they’re always just a call away.”
Kaz is proud to be part of Braeburn Care and is excited about her future with the team. “I’m so proud to be part of Braeburn Care, and I look forward to many, many years of working here.”
